What is a rashguard? (aka. “Rashie, rashguard, surfshirt..”)
A rashguard is a shirt that keeps your belly off the board. Some people get a rash from rubbing their belly on the board all day. So a shirt is pretty much standard.
Any shirt will do.. our surf shirts are designed for the purpose, made from Lycra or woven fabric. we provide a rashguard/surfshirt for your use during your lessons. But we recommend that everyone buys one for sun protection for beach and swimming and surf related activities.
